Got back from Berlin yesterday after an intense 3 days of being a tourist. This is how it went down. The Solebox Asics sold out last Saturday; there were cues there since Saturday as it was a pretty hyped shoe. Solebox was pretty rad. They have a collection of all their editions around the shop and stock a wide range of Adidas Consortium pieces, Vans Syndicates and all of the Asics exclusives. They also have a wide range of Ice Cream apparels and BAPE goods (if your into that) with some Maharishi stuff thrown in there as well-at competetive prices.
Also if our planning on going any time soon make sure to check out Monsiour Vuong in Mitte (east side) its a Vietnamese restaurant a couple of doors up from the Vans Butchers block (Alte Schönhauser Strasse) the food and interiors are definitely on point.

Carnival
So today was the second day of carnival and what a day it was. We bopped down to the Red Bull Soundsystem show opposite the Portobello Rd covered market. With performances from Toddla T, Heatwave, Mumdance, Warrior Queen, Rusko, Switch and DIPLO it was bound to be a dope show. Not to mention all the free food and drink (big up Red Bull-yet again-no I dont work for them).
With appearances from Jammer, Martelo, Santogold, Sinden, Annie Mac, Daniel Haaksman and Roots Manuva I pretty much saw everyone one would like to see and book within 1 hour.

On Campus
Thats right, The Adidas campus makes a welcome return. For those of you who were at the FP campus launch last year I'm sure these will be pieces to add to your collection. Although the numbers are relatively high they will be a size? and Adidas originals exclusive.
These are based on the original 80's Campus's not the II's which tend to be in the clearout bins of JD stores and the like. Again these are based on the FP model and I think were curated by Wes.
They feature the eversoft pig suede outer and quality leather inner. The insole has also been dropped by half a cm at the back to allow for a better fit and nicer walk and with a slightly wider toebox the suede won't distort.
Theres also a black one but its not too hot.

Bike Polo International '08
Sunday saw the 100th anniversary of Bike polo being played at Shoreditch Park. The day (and night) saw some of London's finest polo players and Trackstars. With our South London team taking The honourable 2nd place title, it was a good day all round. As most of the bikes being played on were polo bikes, there wasnt a lot to write home about on the stees front bar a few. However man of the moment Ted was able to jump about 3 ft onto a roundabout Island. And a bunch of unicycle riding clowns who played hockey by night challenged the polo boys, only to win 5-0. A big thank you to red bull for the free booze.

Georgia
For those of you who watch the news, you will know about the conflict in Georgia. For those of you who dont, the BBC give quite a comprehensive guide on it. Last week I was there only to be evacuated out by French Marines. Im not going to write about politics here, as thats not really what were about. If your interested email me.
Before the war broke out, I was travelling. On the day the conflict broke out I was on the other side of Gori (which saw most of the action). In fear that I would be trapped there and unable to return we drove out straight away.
This was our crew in the derelict airport where we waited for 9 hours with a bunch of frenchmen.
When we got back there was a protest outside the houses of parliament. I joined with the other 200 or so British Georgians to make a stand despite there being no news coverage or general public awareness of it. It was nice to see fellow E-Europeans joining the protest.
